" i feel like we've met somewhere before " yes sweetie its at beach

That wasn't shown/revealed until episode 881-882.

You're way too ahead, 230 episodes (or 125 episodes excluding fillers) in the future.

no

I's interesting how the FBI characters can sometimes serve as Audience surrogates for us international viewers. Like think about the stuff they would have had to be explained in an awkward Translator's Note if Camel wasn't there.

Dio Joestar • 7 months ago

that's the magic of "Show, Don't tell" in art.

Instead of tediously explaining the technical Japanese language, why not use a character then integrate it as if it was real life incident/interaction that lead to confusion.

The face expressions here were just amazing

SShields • 2 years ago

This episode slightly felt like a filler case. But the expressions of Conan and Heiji were great. I also love that Mouri just let the boys handle the case while he ate with the girls under the guise of "investigating".

Dio Joestar • 7 months ago

This episode by far outclassed any filler episode in existence.

I love it

Look at the FBI guys steering wheel position, its on the left side of the car, it occured to me randomly, but it isnt suspicious in Japan, where they drive, you know, in the left lane or somthin like that...

hereforfun • 2 years ago

now that I think of it, Akai's Chevy had the same configuration, or didnt it ?

hereforfun • 2 years ago

after some research it is shown that a bunch of cars in the series have their steering wheel on the left side, which is really weird

LesK • 1 year ago

if you do a little research, you'll find out that MANY international carmakers around the world have TWO versions of their vehicles, right and left-hand driver's seats wheels etc.

i know Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Kia, Hyundai, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land and RangeRover, Jaguar, Porche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Peugeot all have this design built-in to their vehicles and factories.

you do NOT HAVE to have a left-hand drive car to operate it in the USA and Canada and Mexico. those right-hand drive vehicles from overseas ARE legal here, but it is NOT easy to get a RH drive vehicle imported into the US. Canada and Mexico i dunno their rules etc. there's lots of rules and regulations and taxes and fees and bla bla bla here in the US. so most North Americans either import a LH drive vehicle from overseas or just buy one assembled/built here 'at home'.

i used to work in an injection molding plastics factory that makes interior trim, exterior style, and dashboard pieces for the first 7 car makers i mentioned in that second paragraph i wrote. that factory is in my hometown here in the US. these pieces, especially the dashboards, are all designed to be assembled in factories here and made into vehicles sold in North America. all those parts i worked on were for LH drive cars.

to the best of my knowledge NO American brand-name cars are made 'here' as RH drive versions for export to RH drive countries. those vehicles with RH drive designs from our brands are ALL made overseas in the factories there. this is pretty much due to the fact that shipping a large number of fully assembled cars overseas is damned slow, expensive, and requires large cargo ships. the parts on the other hand can be shipped just like normal freight cargo on those same ships. but parts don't take up as much space.

some of the parts i worked on in that factory required sub sub sub assembly parts from overseas as well, little electric switches, various gizmos and doodads and whatnots.

for example, my 2007 Dodge Charger R/T AWD was manufactured and assembled in Canada and the USA. but the transfer cases, transmission, and all four axles were made in Europe when Daimler owned The Crysler Corporation.

Ooh you're right - Gin's Porsche too!

Where I am, we drive on the left and in mostly Japanese cars, and funnily enough, when I saw a couple of the occasional non-Nihon vehicles recently I remembered Shuu's Chevy. So, to your original question, small minority, yes; suspicious, probably not.

LesK • 1 year ago

yeah, except for Akai's Chevy, Mr. Black's ... sedan... i don't recognize it... the other LH drive cars in Det. Conan (SO FAR!) are all 'classic antiques' and old imports. luxury cars. fun cars. rich ass people driving them. car collecting enthusiasts. :) u get the picture? :)

so anybody driving any LH drive car in Japan, would DEFINITELY turn heads and make folks look and say 'wow! that's cool!' or 'weird, look at that! a foreign car?!' so Mr. Black's LH drive 'sedan' is NOT exactly 'undercover' or 'the usual thing' seen on Japanese streets. :> why he's using one like that? :> i've no clue! :D maybe he thinks he's too old to learn how to drive a RH car?

LesK • 1 year ago

all the FBI 'team' are Americans. we drive on the left and ALL our vehicles have left hand side steering wheels. i couldn't tell you why the Europeans and the Asians (like Japan) drive on the right and have their steering wheels on the right. or why the North Americans (Canada, USA, and Mexico) and the Central Americans (Panama etc.) drive on the left either. i think i vaguely remember reading something somewhere that it is all Napoleon Buonaparte's fault the Euros are like that. now as to South America i've never traveled there (i have worked in Central America previously and can verify their cars etc.) so i would have to look up which side they drive on and where their steering wheels are placed.

Hattori and Kudou is more concerned for the culprit rather than Ran and Kazuha

strange guy • 1 year ago

Man this episode

Michelle Keppler • 1 year ago

one of my favourite things in this series is when the culprit runs at one of the girls and everyone cringes cause the culprits about to get wrecked

LesK • 1 year ago

mhm Heiji just needs to admit it, Shin won that one and will continue to win... except when it comes to hand to hand combat. ;) itty bitty legs and arms don't exactly work well when fighting 'big persons' :> ahahha! :> Prof. A just needs to invent an 'electrified soccer ball' setting for Conan's belt-buckle... or a better version of the tranq. watch with more shots.

u know what i haven't seen in many episodes? the earring dangle cellphone. i miss that one, it was pretty cool! :/
